Privacy Policy — Walmart AI Marketing Agent

Last updated: July 5, 2026

This extension (“the Extension”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

WHAT THE EXTENSION READS
When you click the extension icon or an action button on a Walmart product page (walmart.com/ip/…), the Extension reads content from that page only: product title, price, star rating, image and video URLs, and customer review text. The Extension does not read any other website, does not run in the background collecting data, and does not track your browsing history.

WHAT IS STORED LOCALLY
– Your OpenAI API key (encrypted, stored only in your browser’s local storage — chrome.storage.local)
– Your license key and activation status (encrypted, stored only in your browser’s local storage)
None of this local data is accessible to us or to any third party except as described below.

WHAT IS SENT TO THIRD PARTIES
– api.openai.com: product data extracted from the Walmart page you are viewing is sent to OpenAI, using your own API key, solely to generate marketing copy or a review summary. We do not operate or control OpenAI’s servers; see OpenAI’s own privacy policy for how they handle this data.
– Our license server: your license key and a device identifier are sent to validate and activate your license, and periodically (heartbeat) to confirm your license is still active.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO
– We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
– We do not collect personal information such as your name, address, or payment details.
– We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
– We do not track your activity across other websites.

DATA RETENTION
Locally stored data (API key, license status) remains on your device until you clear it via the extension settings or uninstall the Extension. We do not retain copies of product data or generated content on our servers beyond what is needed for license validation logs.
